The NIH Community Engagement Alliance (CEAL) website is managed by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Community Engagement Technical Assistance Center (CETAC) and funded by the NIH under contract OT2HL158287 with Westat, Inc. (“Westat”). The content and information shared on https://nihceal.org/ (the “Site”) are authored by CETAC and do not represent the official views of, nor an endorsement by the NIH, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), or the U.S. Government. The information provided on this Site is only intended to be general summary information to the public. It is not intended to take the place of either the written law or regulations. CETAC respects the privacy of every individual who visits this Site. CEAL’s LinkedIn account is managed by CETAC and does not represent the official views of, nor an endorsement by the NIH, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), or the U.S. Government.

CEAL’s LinkedIn account allows non-affiliated users to share comments and other user-generated content. The views expressed in the Comments section of CEAL’s LinkedIn account are those of the individual(s) who authored the comment(s) and not those of CEAL, CETAC, Westat, NIH, HHS, or the U.S. Government. CETAC encourages respectful and constructive dialogue and asks that your comments be respectful and relevant to the specific topic. 

Users are expected to comply with the terms of use for the social media platforms used. Comments on CEAL’s LinkedIn account that include the following are prohibited:

  • Vulgar, obscene, profane, threatening, abusive, or otherwise harassing or hostile language, including personal attacks of any kind
  • Discriminatory language (including hate speech) based on protected characteristics under applicable law, including race, national origin, age, sex, religion, or disability
  • Endorsements of commercial products, services, organizations, or other entities
  • Repetitive posts (for example, submitting the same idea multiple times)
  • Spam or undecipherable language (gratuitous links will be viewed as spam)
  • Copyright infringing content
  • Links to external sites
  • Images or videos
  • Solicitation of funds
  • Procurement-sensitive information related to any current/future NIH acquisition
  • Surveys, polls, and questionnaires subject to the Office of Management and Budget Paperwork Reduction Act clearance
  • Personally Identifiable Information (PII), including Personal Health Information (PHI), or Sensitive Information (SI)
  • Off-topic posts
  • Reporters’ questions — all media inquiries must be directed to CETAC@westat.com. Media inquiries will not be posted or answered. 

The reviewing and posting of comments will occur Monday through Friday during 9am-5pm (ET). CETAC does not plan to respond to individual comments or questions on a routine basis. CETAC reserves the right to delete user-generated comments or content that violates this policy.
